  • The water level at Bear Creek is dependent on Deer Point Lake’s winter draw-down. To control invasive vegetation in the water, Bay County begins draw-down of Deer Point Lake for the winter sometime in October and begins raising the water level in March. The pictures you see in the listing were taken in April, there is a picture from December to show what it looks like when its drawn down. The dock outside the cabin still has water access for small boats and kayaks, it will just be shallower, and the scenery changes due to lower water levels.
